What cookies are

Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Similar browser storage may keep a preference or active workspace state. They do not give Hostry access to unrelated files on your device.

Strictly necessary

Necessary records support secure administration, checkout continuity, fraud prevention and the monthly Guestbook usage meter. The admin session cookie is protected from browser scripts and ordinarily lasts up to eight hours. The workspace usage record ordinarily lasts up to 31 days.

These records are required to provide requested functions and cannot be switched off through an optional-cookie control, though you can remove them in browser settings.

Analytics and marketing

Hostry does not activate optional analytics or marketing cookies unless they are configured and the legally required choice has been obtained. If introduced, the cookie control will identify the provider, purpose and duration before activation.

Checkout cookies

Stripe, and PayPal only where expressly offered, may set cookies needed for checkout security, fraud prevention and payment continuity. Those providers control their own records under their notices. Hostry does not use payment cookies to receive guest booking funds.

Your controls

You can remove or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking necessary records may prevent admin login, usage measurement or secure checkout continuity. Browser privacy controls may also restrict optional tracking where supported.

Questions

Contact Hostry if you want to identify a record or understand a future change. Material changes will be dated on this page.
